Overview
We are looking for a Hands-on Technical Engineering Manager, to join our growing team, who was a recent Tech Lead turned Manager or managing full-stack team responsible for developing consumer facing products. Someone with a passion for helping make architectural decisions and mentoring developers. In this role you will be managing a full-stack development team including devops working on consumer facing products and its infrastructure needs for successful delivery of the product.
Responsibilities
- Work with and manage cross-functional and cross-regional Engineering teams - Customer facing dev team, Infrastructure team, etc.
- Coordinate with other engineering managers, engineers, designers, product managers and the founders to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap and deliverables.
- Actively involved in hiring for the skill set required to make a successful team.
- Define and work on engineering OKRs.
- Work with Architects/Staff team members to develop Engineering plans, Techspecs, etc.
- Help the team conduct post mortems and investigations for the root cause of downtime and system failures.
- Improving the product development lifecycle and engineering processes.
Requirements/Skills
- Hands-on technical expertise with prior experience as a technical lead or software development manager for consumer facing products.
- 7+ years of experience in Software development moving up the ladder from jr. developer to a tech lead.
- Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development and can review and write technical specifications.
- A deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, and a track record of shipping software on time.
- A passion for people management and mentorship.
- Created a world-class team by identifying gaps and hiring required talent for successful delivery of product.
- Created software development processes.
Bonus Skills
- Experience working on blockchain projects or managing a blockchain dev team.
