Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Protocol Engineer to join our team. As a customizable rollup provider, my client specializes in building scalable decentralized applications for various industries. In this role, you will be responsible for developing mission-critical systems and managing a small engineering team. You will also collaborate with a team of researchers to design and build the system architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of mission-critical systems for our customizable rollup provider.
- Manage and mentor a small engineering team, providing technical guidance and support.
- Collaborate with researchers to design and implement system architecture.
- Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in decentralized technologies, protocols, and frameworks.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other technical challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in software development with a focus on mission-critical systems.
- Strong proficiency in Rust programming language.
- Familiarity with optimistic and zero-knowledge technologies.
- Solid understanding of decentralized systems, blockchain protocols, and cryptographic principles.
- Experience in managing and leading small engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with customizable rollup solutions.
- Knowledge of Ethereum and smart contract development.
- Experience with other programming languages, such as Solidity or C++.
- Contributions to open-source projects related to decentralized technologies.
