Content Director
Are you a master of the written word? Can you look at a single image and build a vast backstory and world around it with ease? Are you able to produce, and edit fantasy themed copy? Have you also mastered the art of marketing copy? Can you lead a talented team of similarly minded individuals? Are you a ninja at replacing lorem ipsum with prose that could make the most hardy of orcs weep?
Are you our next Content Director? This role is about sinking your teeth into all things text for a diverse set of creative objectives. It’s about accuracy, and creativity with the written language. It’s about designing a journey that is intuitive and engaging, pulling the user into your narrative, and not letting go. It’s about making Brand and IP a world we all want to escape into and never leave. This role is ultimately about how words can translate game dynamics to players, and to overall support overall Creative Direction and UX in building an unforgettable experience.

Our new Content Director should be able to hit the ground running in terms of team building, organization, and overall ability to wear as many hats as possible to grow the team!
As a Content Director, you will be overseeing the penning of our worlds, our interfaces, the power of our blockchain technology, and more. This includes collaborating with the Creative Director, UX Director, UI Lead, Product Managers, Game Designers, UI Designers, and Developers to help shape what we’re trying to say, how we’re trying to say it, and what exactly should be said at every turn.
You should have a high level of experience with writing creative copy, UI/UX copy, solving front-end challenges, editing and routing deliverables, managing team edits, and improving engagement. You should also have leadership experience to keep your team engaged and on task. You should be capable of taking layered and complex blockchain-related functionality and streamlining the front-end into an accessible and user-friendly experience. You should be analytical, passionate, and creative. You should be an EXCELLENT communicator--verbally, textually, and visually.
Things You’ll Do:
- Acting similar to an Editor-In-Chief in many regards
- Be the point person for the development and presentations of high-level Copy
- Oversee team’s editing and copy deliverables
- The Content Department will be reporting to you
- Creating/overseeing necessary copy deliverables to UX/UI team as needed
- Reporting to the Creative Director and routinely working with the UX Director and UI Lead
- Lead and organize editing and routes for copy deliverables
- Identify pain points, and establish deadlines
- Formulate Improvement / Solutions
- Strategize and optimize how to get our message across through the written word
- Champion a User-Centered system with a Positive, Collaborative, and Passionate attitude
Things You Need:
- At least 4 years professional copywriting experience in gaming, or at an agency
- An inspiring, memorable portfolio
- At least 2 years in a supervising/ management copywriting experience
- Excellent command of the English language
- Able to adapt one’s voice to suit different platforms & audiences.
- The ability to write great headlines, copy, and scripts for all types of media
- High level of understanding of creative design best practices
- High level of understanding of development processes
- Amazing Interpersonal skills
Bonus Points:
- You’ve written extensive general copy for projects
- You’ve written extensive fiction, preferably fantasy
- You’ve been published
- Experience with and/or a deep understanding of Blockchain technology
- Being a gamer, through and through
