Job Summary
HIghly experienced backend developer with SQL and NoSQL architecture and programming expertise (postgres preferred). Provide scalable and robust designs and implementations. This is a well funded company with excellent backing and opportunity for equity.

The Team
We're obsessed with building the most intuitive, decentralized short-term prediction platform in the world. Gamified to perfection and enjoyable for our players, while providing real short-term speculative and hedging services. We have built out a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform that allows bids on the price of volatile assets, like Ether, with a lot more to come.

Job Description
Responsibilities will consist of architecting a robust, secure topology--based in part on our current backend design, developing the appropriate models, api, and scripts to manage data, and sysops work, which includes AWS management. We are using mostly Node.js driven processes, but threaded, compiled languages can be considered to replace Node processes. The databases require stable, reliable performance and accuracy, using ACID standards if possible, consistent and conflict-free otherwise. The scripts include the use of web3 libraries, which communicate with blockchain networks. Web3 experience is ideal, but guided learning can take place on the job.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Development of high quality database solutions
• Develop, implement and optimize api, script methods and functions (and stored procedures if necessary)
• Review and interpret ongoing additions to dataset and api functionality
• Research and apply (suggest new approaches)
• Analyze existing database operations for performance improvements
• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration

Requirements and Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role
• Excellent understanding of postgresql architecting and programming
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Familiarity with the practical application of NoSQL\NewSQL databases
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
