Campus DAO - Senior Software Blockchain Engineer

*About the Role *

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Campus DAO, you will be responsible for designing scalable web3 solutions. You will solve extremely challenging technical problems and envision long term solutions using traditional backend development and the latest blockchain technologies

You will be a core team member to help us ideate, design, build and maintain web3 features for our platform that will let users operate a business and take advantage of the latest blockchain/distributed technologies. You will wear multiple hats so your influence will extend beyond a traditional software development role.

*Day-to-day, you will: *

• Work as a team to ideate on the product vision
• Research and build proof of concepts to test technology
• Translate production requirements into executable technical design and roadmap
• Design solutions that account for high volume and potential roadblocks
• Build and test features
• Follow an agile software development
  
• Drive development and enforcement of standards, tools and methodologies

*You’ll need to have: *

• Years of Experience: 5+ years as a backend software engineer
• 3+ years of building software on blockchain technologies like ETH, SOL, etc
• Deep understanding of blockchain culture, ecosystem, challenges and opportunities
• Experience with the Agile Software Development Process
  
• Initiative and self-motivation. Be able to work with little oversight.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or technology-related field or equivalent work experience is a nice to have
  

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Experience in building scalable applications on traditional and cloud-based architectures
  
• Experience with data modeling and tuning of relational as well as NoSQL datastores
  
• Industry background as a software engineer, data engineer, cloud architect or relevant work experience
  
• Demonstrated ability to think and work systematically and logically
  

*In-depth knowledge in the following technology platforms/stacks: *

• SQL Server and General Database Development
  
• .NET/.NET Core
• Smart Contract Development using Solidity (ETH), Rust (SOL) or Haskell (ADA)
• REST API development
• Microsoft/Azure platforms

Other Skills / Knowledge

• Clear and concise oral and written communication
• Results oriented / self-directed ability to drive change in a fast-paced environment
• Time management skills – the ability to multitask and prioritize across several clients at the same time
• Passion and proven talent for launching projects on-time, on-strategy, and on-budget

Location: Irvine, CA
Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $155,000 plus bonuses for strong project performance
Equity Range: 0% - 1%
