About the role

We are looking to hire a Community Lead to help us achieve our vision of democratizing access to decentralized web. We are in a stage of hyper growth and in the next few years, we expect to onboard 100s of millions of people to the crypto ecosystem with MetaMask. This role is expected to have an impact on all strategic objectives of MetaMask - stability, security, accessibility, extensibility, leadership.

The goal of this role is to support our product team in deeply and comprehensively understanding user needs and pain points, as well as opportunities to make current users happier and attract new users to MetaMask.

Responsibilities:

• Lead MetaMask’s overall community strategy, and grow our user base in collaboration with the ConsenSys community team.
• Work together with our Product Owners/Managers to identify priority campaigns and initiatives
• Create community growth plans that respect privacy and empower users for the web3 era
• Partner with other ConsenSys teams to optimize our efforts and build the web3 community and ecosystem. These teams include customer support, product marketing, brand, developer marketing, PR, content and community management.
• Partner with the marketing team and collaborate closely with the product marketing manager to contribute to go-to-market strategy planning.
• Represent MetaMask and our community strategies to the external web3 ecosystem
• Immerse yourself in the MetaMask community to create feedback loops: listen to them to understand what works well, what needs improvement, what are competitors doing well/better and being able to articulate this to the product team to support and influence the roadmap as well as present back to the community that we listen and act.
• Manage initiatives to build and improve the MetaMask brand
• Help drive our social media strategy, create and review social media posts, lead organizing efforts for community events in coordination with other projects in the ecosystem, lead team members to create great content
• Act as custodian of the brand values and user experience across marketing and community engagement.

Role requirements:

• 5+ years of experience leading growth, marketing, community management, and/or developer relations
• 5+ year of experience in a leadership / management role
• A strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, and a willingness to innovate on these strategies for web3
• A strong understanding of MetaMask, web3, and Ethereum
• A proven track record of results related to these skill sets
