Role Description

Phantom is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Moderator to help ensure a safe, high-quality experience within our new Token Chat feature, while also supporting Trust and Safety efforts through high-volume domain reviews. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience moderating online communities (e.g., Discord, Telegram, Reddit, gaming communities, Meta platforms), with strong familiarity with online safety best practices, scam and spam patterns, and user behavior.

Experience with crypto or web3 ecosystems is preferred, and familiarity with AI-driven moderation or productivity tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review and moderate Token Chat activity to identify and take action on spam, scams, malicious behavior, and other violations of Phantom’s community standards, ensuring conversations remain safe, relevant, and high-quality.

  • Configure and optimize automated moderation workflows, including filters, keyword triggers, behavioral thresholds, and scam or spam detection logic.

  • Review a high volume of domains submitted through internal queues to identify phishing sites, malicious dApps, impersonation attempts, and other scam patterns.

  • Collaborate closely with the Trust and Safety, Support, Product, and Engineering teams to surface emerging threats.

  • Leverage third-party tooling to detect risky or abusive content across chat and domains.

Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of experience in moderation, community management, trust and safety, or reviewing user-generated content.

  • Experience moderating platforms such as Discord, Telegram, Reddit, gaming chats, or other online communities.

  • Familiarity with crypto, wallets, NFTs, dApps, or general web3 concepts.

  • Experience in customer support, managing inbound inquiries through ticketing systems such as Zendesk or similar platforms.

  • Experience reviewing websites for malicious behavior, phishing indicators, scam patterns, or fraud signals.

  • Experience using or contributing to automated moderation tools, including rule configuration, keyword filters, or bot detection workflows.

  • Familiarity with AI tooling that supports moderation or assists with content review workflows.

  • Hands-on experience with real-time messaging platforms is helpful. Experience with Stream (getstream.io) is a plus.

Nice To Have

  • Prior involvement in trust and safety operations, abuse mitigation, or fraud prevention.

  • Experience working within crypto-native communities or web3 support environments.

  • Exposure to building or refining dashboards, reporting workflows, or internal tooling related to moderation or scam detection.
