We’re looking for a high-performing, creative, and hands-on Community Lead to drive the planning and execution of community activations across North America. This role will also support North America event leads by providing strategic guidance and resources for meetups in key cities.

A successful candidate will have a strong track record of building and nurturing communities through impactful IRL experiences. You should be experienced in organizing events that foster connection, engagement tailored to the needs of diverse community audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Nurture and grow US-based communities through high-quality content, meaningful online experiences, and consistent engagement.

  • Develop top talent within the community to help drive grassroots events, both online and offline

  • Drive shared vision across teams and stakeholders, providing confident leadership to drive thought leadership.

  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to identify event goals, target audiences and key messages, and business outcomes.

  • Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of community workshops/events, including project plans and timelines, marketing and promotions, vendor management, budget management, and measurement.

  • Cross-collaborate with the Sui Foundation team’s to develop and promote content that is relevant and engaging to our community

Requirements:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in community engagement

  • Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience managing both online and offline communities, particularly in web3

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with the builder community members in a friendly and welcoming manner

  • Strong understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, including DEXs, staking, lending, liquidity protocols and stablecoins

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities

  • Passion for community building and a genuine desire to foster a positive and inclusive community.

  • Flexibility and desire to travel frequently and work irregular hours
