Discord Community Retention Manager

As the Discord Community Retention Manager you are responsible for developing and engaging the discord community. You’ll work cross-functionally with different teams and ensure that our presence is aligned to Reach’s brand. Ultimately, you’ll help generate fun, authentic, and engaging developer experiences among engineers and developers! Main Responsibilities:
- Develop the online community and drive active community participation and engagement including organizing digital and in-person events, curating content and pipeline from within the community, Twitch weekly calendar for education, YT Developer content, commenting on discussions, and moderating conversations to ensure members are deriving the full value of the community.
- Identify potential influencers and advocates from community activity and create scalable outreach to cultivate these individuals to participate in acts of advocacy.
- Keep abreast of current trends in online communities to gain competitive insights and conduct periodic assessments of the current state of community activity
- Develop a roadmap for technology requirements to support community development, including integrations with customer success and customer relationship tools.
- Day-to-day monitoring and operation of community channels (Twitch, YouTube, Discord, Reddit)
- Develop tracking reports of top KPIs/metrics for all channels and report results bi-monthly. Be sure to report on areas of concern for the community and escalate trending topics/threads with urgency.
- Conceptualize community programs - provide support for existing and in development of Community events and programs
- Events Management Support: Coordinating events as per the schedule, Keeping track of staffing for each activity to ensure everyone involved knows what they need to do (and when)
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of marketing or developer community marketing experience
- Outstanding collaboration and communicative skills, with demonstrated confidence to engage not only with your team and stakeholders across the company, but with customers and leaders with vision online
- Exceptional attention to detail, exemplifying outstanding grammar, language, and copywriting skills
- You are a strong self-starter, steady teammate, and driven project leader bringing a fun and upbeat approach and demeanor with willingness to engage
- Ability to forge alliances with internal partners to deeply understand the business and technology strategy
- You are collaborative and take great pride in the quality, precision, and measurable results of your team
