Web3 Emerging Protocols Community Manager

DESCRIPTION: The Emerging Protocols Community Manager is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the VP of AI, the Emerging Protocols Community Manager will engage with and grow our community of AI and blockchain developers and users.

This is a rare invitation to join a small, highly professional entrepreneurial group, with the backing of the most established player in the fast-growing crypto space.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Foster and grow the community around a new blockchain protocols by engaging with users, developers, and stakeholders. Manage communication channels, organize events, and create educational content to drive adoption and feedback, ensuring a vibrant and supportive community ecosystem.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Actively engage with community members across various platforms, including forums, social media, and events, to foster a sense of community and belonging.
• Develop and share content, including blog posts, newsletters, and social media updates, to keep the community informed and engaged with the latest developments and initiatives.
• Plan and execute community events such as meetups, webinars, hackathons, and conferences to promote interaction and collaboration among community members.
• Act as a liaison between the community and internal teams, gathering feedback, insights, and suggestions from community members to inform product development and improvements.
• Identify and engage with potential community members, influencers, and partners to expand the reach and impact of the community.
• Provide educational resources and support to help community members understand and utilize emerging protocols effectively.
• Monitor community metrics and provide regular reports on community growth, engagement, and sentiment to inform strategy and decision-making
• Work closely with marketing, product, and development teams to align community initiatives with company goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in community management, preferably in the technology or blockchain space.
• Familiarity with AI and blockchain concepts, protocols, and ecosystems.
• Proficiency in using community management tools and platforms (e.g, Discord, GitHub, Twitter).
• Basic understanding of programming and development workflows.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for emerging technologies and fostering community growth.

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.
• Knowledge regarding cryptocurrency and/or blockchain principles.
• Passion for decentralization and exploring new technologies.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $130,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This range only includes base compensation and does not include other tangible benefits such as 401K match, bonuses, overtime pay, and other benefits.
