About the role

We are looking to hire a senior-level Technical Writer.

We are looking for someone who will be responsible for producing high-quality reference and learning materials intended for a developer audience (and how to optimize their experience). You have expertise and interest in writing documentation, as well as deep comprehension of computer science and blockchain technology. Through proper documentation, you will take developers by their hands and turn them into successful users of Cartesi's technology.

We are also expecting you to take our technical documentation to the next level.

The Responsibilities

Here’s what a normal week at Cartesi could look like:

• Say hello to your colleagues on Slack or check in with a short coffee greeting;
• Check your tasks on Slack, Monday, or Mail and plan your workday;
• Assisting with the growth and adoption of Cartesi by writing technical articles, SDK documentation, and how-to tutorials;
• Collaborating with the development team, product managers, the community, enterprises and partners, and other documentation end-users and stakeholders by creating educational materials and presentations;
• Identifying key recurring areas of concerns/questions with our community members and developers and creating corresponding content - and materials (visual, written, webinars, etc.) as means of documentation;
• Participate in FunFriday on Slack and other team events.

We want to work with someone who has a positive attitude and understands the value of teamwork and building relationships. We are a small yet tight team who constantly communicates, discusses, and supports each other. To add, you are trustworthy and understand the importance of confidentiality, discretion, and integrity needed for this role.

The Requirements:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following: - Strong computer science background (BSc., MSc., or Ph.D). - 3+ years technical/content writer working experience - Excellent knowledge of Github and Markdown - Experience with optimized site generators such as Docusaurus, Gitbook, Read The Docs, etc. - Prefers writing to programming. - Specialized in the documentation and technical articles. - Experienced in writing software architecture documentation. - Experienced in writing API documentation and tutorials. - Experienced in writing educational articles in the software industry. - Great English communication skills (written and spoken). - Excellent writing skills. - Has experience or interest to be a part of a fully-remote team with a diverse set of skills and backgrounds. - Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. - Blockchain knowledge is an advantage.
