We’re looking for a Community Manager who will focus on user activation and retention across all our platforms. Your role is to make our communities (Reddit, X, YouTube, Facebook, and beyond) feel alive, positive, and valuable while also acting as a bridge between our users, our product, and our teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive activation & retention You’ll make sure new members don’t just join, but actually get involved right away, and you’ll create reasons for them to keep coming back through smart formats, recurring events, and ongoing community rituals.
  • Manage cross-platform communities Reddit, X, YouTube, Facebook. Each platform has its own culture. You’ll know how to adapt Freecash’s voice to fit, while keeping a consistent brand presence across all of them.
  • Create engaging conversations & events Whether it’s posting discussion starters, sharing tips, running AMAs, or organising challenges, you’ll find ways to spark interaction and keep energy high.
  • Build a positive community culture You’ll take an active role in shifting perception, handling negativity gracefully, and building trust so users feel welcome and safe.
  • Moderate with balance You’ll enforce rules and remove harmful content, but in a way that still keeps the community friendly, open, and approachable.
  • Act as a bridge to product You’ll be the connector between our users and our product team, streamlining community feedback and surfacing insights that can improve Freecash.
  • Support when needed Sometimes, users just need answers. You’ll step in as a support agent when required, solving problems quickly and with empathy.
  • Collaborate across teams You’ll work closely with our social media, organic growth, and support teams to make sure our community efforts are aligned and impactful.
  • Use data to improve You’ll measure engagement, retention, and activity metrics to see what’s working, then experiment with new ideas and scale what performs.
  • Be the human face of Freecash Through casual conversation, consistent presence, and authentic interaction, you’ll become the recognisable person behind the brand who makes our communities feel personal.

What You’ll Bring

  • Community Expertise: Proven experience managing online communities across platforms (Reddit, Discord, X, etc.), with strong knowledge of moderation best practices and community dynamics.
  • Industry Background: Experience in gaming or digital products with highly interactive user bases.
  • Communication & Content Skills: Ability to create engaging content, spark discussions, and respond with a professional yet personable tone.
  • Conflict Resolution: Skilled at managing disputes and addressing negative feedback with empathy.
