Web3 Lead Unity Game Developer

About Us:

We are a new and rapidly growing web3 gaming start-up (aradena.io). Our first title Aradena: Battlegrounds is reimagining the future of competitive strategy gaming and radically improving player experiences with web3 technologies to drive mass adoption from traditional gamers. It is a free-to-play, Tactical TCG where collectable cards come to life in strategic, 3D gameplay. The game is set in a medieval fantasy world and has been in development for 18 months.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Unity Game Developer. As a Lead Unity Game Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our digital tactical trading card game in Unity 3D.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the development process, leading and managing the Unity game development team.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to implement game features and mechanics.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C#.
• Optimize game performance and ensure smooth gameplay experience.
• Debug and resolve technical issues and bugs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in game development.
  

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Unity game development.
• Strong proficiency in C# programming language.
• Solid understanding of game development principles and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work on complex game systems, such as trading card games.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to provide examples of previous games worked on.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing and shipping games in Unity.
• Familiarity with multiplayer and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of shader programming and graphics optimization.
• Understanding of AI systems and pathfinding algorithms.
• Previous experience in a lead or senior role.
