Job Description
Payscale is looking for a QA Engineer who is motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Create and execute functional test plans and test cases
• Assist with root cause analysis for defects and performance issues
• Perform project and defect tracking for assigned areas
• Work constructively with the Payscale development team to solve tough
challenges efficiently in an always changing environment.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement within the QA team

Qualifications
Required

• 5+ years in a software Quality Assurance role
• Experience devising test strategies, creating test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience testing web/SaaS applications
• Have worked with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MSSQL, etc.)
including creating and executing queries
• API testing using postman or similar tools
• Agile/SCRUM experience
• Issue/Project Tracking tools (such as JIRA)
• Application Performance Monitoring tools (such as New Relic, Sentry)
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
Experience and knowledge desirable:
• Experience with TestRail or similar testing tool
• Automation testing experience
• Experience working with Selenium
• Performance/load testing
• Understand public cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
