Your mission As a Principal Product Designer at Bitpanda, you’ll play a critical role in shaping our long-term experience strategy, scaling design quality, and ensuring visual and interaction consistency across products. You’ll lead by example - raising the bar for design craft, defining our future experience principles and owning the evolution of our design system. This is a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of strategy, systems and craft. You’ll guide cross-functional teams, influence decisions across product solutions and oversee the building blocks that power high-quality, scalable and accessible user experiences. Through hands-on leadership and forward-looking thinking, you’ll ensure Bitpanda continues to deliver product experiences that are both cohesive and future-ready. What you'll do
Raise UX and UI quality across platforms through standards, feedback, audits and design quality rituals. Shape and evolve Bitpanda's Design System, including its strategy, contribution model, components, patterns and documentation. Partner with Design, Product and Engineering to improve consistency, accessibility and implementation quality. Mentor senior designers, provide structured feedback and raise the standard of design craft. Define future-state journeys, interaction patterns and experience principles that guide product direction. Explore AI-enabled approaches that improve ideation, workflows and team effectiveness. Define and track design quality metrics to demonstrate impact and inform decisions.
Who you are
A Principal Designer with 10+ years of product design experience and deep expertise in design systems. A strategic systems thinker who can connect design quality, product needs and business impact.
