Quant Trader – Crypto Focus (BTC/ETH Primary) with Multi-Asset Mandate

 

Small, founder-led high-conviction hedge fund domiciled in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and operating in Bahamas. This is a foundational role with significant equity participation, full transparency, and direct input on strategy and fund direction.

About the Fund & Company 

New Providence Capital Limited currently raising its first $4–5 million in AUM (target $10–15 million after year 1). Our strategy centers on high-conviction trading in Bitcoin and Ethereum across spot, perpetuals, options, basis, and volatility products. We opportunistically deploy capital into these strategies when quantitative signals and market timing present compelling risk/reward setups. 

You will join a small, highly collaborative team (one trader, one operator, compliance officer) where your ideas and P&L contributions will directly shape the fund’s growth. 

Role Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Quantitative Trader with strong mathematics, AI/ML, and systematic trading expertise. You will run risks in primary focus on BTC and ETH but also to include where appropriate opportunistic strategies in other asset classes. 

Beyond execution, you will develop, back test, optimize, and deploy your own (or adapted) systematic/hybrid strategies, apply AI/ML techniques for alpha generation and risk management, and take meaningful P&L ownership. 

Key Responsibilities 

Develop, implement, and manage trading strategies with primary emphasis on BTC and ETH (spot, derivatives, options, funding, volatility, cross-asset signals). 

Opportunistically execute and manage positions in other asset classes. 

Own end-to-end execution. 

Apply quantitative mathematics and AI/ML, methods to generate signals and managing intraday and portfolio risk. 

Collaborate closely with the founders and team while being able to propose and run new strategies. 

 

Requirements / Qualifications 

2-5 years of professional traditional experience in financial products preferably with some knowledge of crypto.  

Solid academic or professional background in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field (advanced degree a plus). 

Able to create and monitor AI/ML models for trading — e.g., predictive signals, regime-switching, volatility forecasting, sentiment/on-chain analysis, or execution optimization 

Regulatory knowledge and compliance is essential (BVI experience a plus).
