The Role

What you'll do

• Provide strong leadership within your sector and become the industry authority for the protocols under your coverage.
• Author research reports for the protocols under your coverage including Quarterlies, Initiation of Coverage, Ecosystem Overviews, and other Research Notes.
• Lead the end-to-end Quarterly Reports process from template creation through interpreting data and production of the written report all the way through the earnings call.
• Build strong relationships and rapport with protocol management and key community members/contributors.
• Interface with Messari clients to discuss the protocols under your coverage.
• Keep abreast of what’s going on with the protocols that you cover through Twitter, Discord, Messari Intel, blogs and other relevant channels. Identify opportunities for Messari to engage.
• Monitor crypto market and sector developments, interpreting data and trends affecting the protocols under your coverage.

Who you are

• 3-5 years of working experience. Preferably as a Research Analyst or Associate in either crypto or TradFi with previous exposure to financial statement modeling and analysis.
• Previous writing experience.
• You are borderline obsessed with crypto and have practical experience interacting with crypto protocols whether that is through yield farming, minting NFTs, advising a crypto project, participating in a DAO, or doing your own deep dives into projects.
• Relentlessly curious, resourceful, and able to think critically and creatively.
• A team player, but really. We are a team of collaborative individuals that put Messari’s mission above personal achievement.
• A strong desire to deliver a high quality product.
• Strong plus: candidates with knowledge or familiarity of Layer-1 networks.

Salary Ranges for this position (depending upon experience):
$105,000 - $125,000
