Web3 Rust Backend Senior/Lead Developer

DefiTuna is a young project in the Solana Network, launched on the mainnet 1 year ago. The protocol is bringing innovation to Solana, specifically in the Lending market. We provide tools for both lenders and liquidity providers, offering some of the highest lending rates in the blockchain space. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of innovation. For liquidity providers, we enable farming with leverage to amplify rewards, allowing LPs to take bigger risks and other innovations in DeFi.

After a very successful launch and experiencing rapid userbase and TVL growth, we're looking to add a senior fullstack developer with a strong focus on frontend to join our team.

The protocol has experienced strong TVL growth, accompanied by several thousand daily transactions, creating a serious challenge for our team and business. This presents a serious technical and business challenge. We are looking for a strong candidate who can contribute during this phase of rapid growth, implement a wide range of new features, and help take the project to the next level.

Role requirements:

• Because the team is small, you will have a high level of responsibility, and the quality of your work must be exceptional. We value team members who take initiative, feel true ownership of the product, and constantly strive for excellence - both personally and by motivating others.
• Your resume must include at least 2 commercially deployed projects, developed either independently or as part of a team. Please include links to these projects in your cover letter.
• As this is a financial application, strong knowledge of mathematics, computer science, and finance is expected.
• 8+ years of professional experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the backend development team, apply best practices, and improve overall code quality.
• Work closely with the CTO and CEO to align technical development with business goals.
• Develop and implement new features, optimizing performance and user experience.

Proficiency in:

• Rust
• Strong background in mathematics and algorithms
• Understanding of financial market concepts
• Experience building high-load, distributed backend services

Experience with:

• Writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Working with CI systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.)
• TypeScript / JavaScript
• Building and scaling backend services
• Any low-level language like C/C++ or Rust

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Solana blockchain
