Your mission As a Senior Product Designer for the design system team you will be fundamental to enable our product teams to consistently build premium experiences at scale for millions of customers. At Bitpanda, we have a strong design language that helps deliver remarkable and effortless experiences to entry and keep up with the financial playing field, empowering people to make their financial freedom a reality. Your work week will be a mix of contributing to and maintaining our design system together with the DS designers and engineers, while collaborating with Product teams to develop their projects. What you’ll do
Co-Own our Design System: Contribute to the growth and consistency of Bitpanda’s DS by confidently designing patterns, components, tokens, and managing libraries, while creating clear and accessible documentation that enables the implementation and usage of design systems. Lead End-to-End DS Initiatives: Own DS projects in Product teams from start to finish, aligning closely with engineering and product requirements, enabling collaboration and exploration, leading solutions considering all user scenarios, and assisting others to ensure an efficient delivery. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with designers, product managers, engineers and other stakeholders to turn accessibility, business, and user needs into simple and intuitive solutions that work at scale through a process of rapid exploration, definition, and validation. Evolve DS Operations: Contribute to grow and improve internal processes, frameworks, and tooling for a more efficient development and usage of our design system. Mentor and Advocate: Support peers, give feedback and guidance regarding design systems, foster a mindset that prioritizes scalability and coherence while promoting the DS value and adoption across teams
Who you are
5+ years of experience collaborating closely with product and engineering peers in a design system team, or experience with design system responsibilities collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Expert design systems skills including technical knowledge, and a deep and strategic understanding to drive product quality and cohesion. Generalist UX design skills with strong UI and visual abilities, being able to execute at a high-quality and speed while leading projects autonomously. State-of-the-art workflow with current industry-standard tools like Figma, Miro and JIRA, and experience in using and contributing to design systems. Excellent command of spoken and written English.
