Web3 Senior Financial Operations Analyst, Procurement

Compensation: $54k - $68k estimated

Location: Costa Rica Costa Rica

FinOps is a team of 5 within the Finance Department. This role will report into the Senior Manager of Financial Operations. Financial operations covers travel & expense, accounts payable, procurement, and purchase cards. We are looking for a motivated individual who is excited about joining a high-performing and dynamic organization that values innovation and continuous growth. 

This role is responsible for the relevant products and services that Chainalysis needs to operate are purchased in a timely manner at a competitive price point. The Sr. Financial Operations Associate will execute new purchase requests and renewals. They will manage the purchase workflow and verify the delivery of services in order to ensure that company requirements are met. Additional responsibilities include researching and onboarding new suppliers, and negotiating with vendors as needed. Project management for acquisitions, improvement system implementations, process improvements, documentation, training employees and enhancing suppliers.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Monitor vendor progress on the purchase order and contracts in process; verify quality of service provided and adherence to contract terms.

  • Ensure robust, risk-free procurement processes by reviewing documentation and managing contracts to identify any errors — as well as create in-depth documentation

  • Respond to management and employees to resolve and answer any related questions/issues

  • Execute critical procure-to-pay actions, such as vendor onboarding, and ensure the integrity of source documents

  • Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and procedures

  • Produce and analyze monthly purchase order volume reports to understand activity levels by department and by dollar levels

  • Make recommendations to company purchasing policy based on perceived risks, gaps, and changes in business

  • Initiative to improve procure-to-pay processes based on analyzing data or recurring patterns

  • Train employees on the purchase requisition process and company policy

  • Partner with Legal, Risk & Compliance, and Accounts Payable to ensure vendors submit required documents that comply with regulatory and company standards

  •  Maintains vendor relations by resolving problems with orders

  • Drive Procurement integrations from acquisitions.

  • Implement best practices as in best-in-class organizations

We’re looking for candidates who have: 

  • Bachelor's or technical degree in accounting, finance, or related field

  • A strong sense of initiative and a bias for action

  • The ability to adapt and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, startup environment

  • High attention to detail

  • 3+ years of experience in a financial operations role (accounts payable or procurement)

  • 2+ years of experience in sourcing operations

Nice to have experience:

  • Public company readiness 

  • SOX / 404 experience

  • High-growth company exposure

  • Project Management skills
