About the Direct User product group

Vertical Applications, Codefi, MetaMask, MetaMask Institutional, and others work together as part of the Direct User business unit. Together, they create new products across all verticals (consumer, institution, enterprise, protocols and DAOs, and developers), with an eye towards improving user experience with services that are monetizable. We build, deploy and maintain critical applications across ConsenSys’s industry leading products, like MetaMask, MetaMask Institutional, Infura, and Quorum. 

These products serve as gateways for over a million worldwide users to interact with new blockchain, “web3” and “DeFi” applications like Uniswap, Maker, Compound. We need innovative problem solvers who are interested in tackling the complex challenges that exist in the blockchain and financial ecosystems and scaling developer and user-facing systems to tens of millions of users.

About the role
Vertical Applications Group is looking for a Senior Product Manager - API Platform Consumer Experience to join the growing ConsenSys software community.  We need to develop an API platform team for our existing Swaps feature, and consumer experience more broadly. As we increase in scale, we need processes that scale. As we build new features, we want to deconstruct features into more modular components (more APIs). As we learn more from users, we identify new APIs to share in other product distribution channels.  You will wear many hats, contribute to many projects, and adapt to the needs of a growing organization. 

What you’ll do

• Product Lead: As product lead, this role reports to our Group Product Manager for Consumer Experience.  This team is responsible for building and maintaining APIs at scale by providing self-service tools and capabilities for API product teams, so they may deliver APIs throughout the lifecycle. This includes architecture, documentation, testing, and operations — as well as promoting the capabilities across product lines. This team is not responsible for individual APIs. 
• Shape strategy: Develop analysis on existing hypotheses and prospective activities. Conduct one-off analyses to inform decisions around product strategy, project prioritization, and product behavior.
• Experiment with growth: working with design, data, and other teams, manage discovery to understand user problems and technical needs, validate hypotheses, design new solutions.

• 3-5+ years of supporting software product development lifecycle.
• Technical proficiency and experience with APIs. 
• Passion for decentralized finance and the Consensys mission; interest in blockchain and cryptocurrency.
• Experience with blockchain, Ethereum, web3, DeFi, payments, social, or consumer products.
• Familiarity with processes (e.g. Agile, Scrum), and tools (e.g. JIRA, Notion, Figma, GitHub, MixPanel).
• Excellent communication, relationship management and organizational skills.
• Entrepreneurial with a growth mindset; independently driven, constantly learning, always improving.
• Team player, inclusive leader, open to feedback, and transparent with intentions.

Bonus points

• Previous experience in remote or globally distributed teams
