Web3 Smart Contract Engineer (Rust + CosmWasm)

About the Job

Secret, LLC is looking for a Smart Contract Engineer to play a critical role in building out new and existing blockchain products for our company. This team member will be responsible for creating Rust-based smart contracts for web3 dApps to be launched by Secret, LLC. They will work closely with the CTO, CEO, and Director of Design, and will be responsible for creating contracts that will act as the back-end of our dApps. These dApps will be launched on the Secret Network, a Cosmos SDK based blockchain with private smart contracts written in Rust and compiled into WebAssembly using CosmWasm. The first project they will develop is SecretDAO, a DAO creation platform for the Secret Network.

Role

We are looking for a talented, experienced engineer with a passion for privacy, experience with Rust, and a willingness to learn how to develop smart contracts. As the first Smart Contract Engineer at Secret, LLC, you will have a great deal of creative control to create efficient, readable smart contracts for things like private governance, DAO creation, Inter-DAO communication, NFT contracts, token creation and allocation, and staking derivatives.

We’re looking for someone who is able to work well autonomously but is also a good communicator and able to stay focused and calm under stress. This position is primarily remote (US Based) but we typically have in person meetings a few times per year.

Requirements

4+ years of experience with Rust
Flexible, collaborative, and supportive working > Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and high quality code and experience with unit and end to end testing frameworks

Nice To Have

Experience with smart contracts is a major plus
Experience with Ruby on Rails
Experience with Go

Secret, LLC is an early stage blockchain startup that focuses on surfacing blockchain data to users through our primary product, the SecretNodes blockchain explorer (https://secretnodes.com). We started building the explorer and providing validator services to The Secret Network in early 2020 and have expanded to two other networks in the Cosmos ecosystem, Sentinel and Ki.
