Brave is looking for an experienced generalist full stack engineer who can help us keep our browser and
back end infrastructure in good shape. The candidate should know how to work in an open source
environment, and be able to pivot quickly between C++ tasks in the browser and working on the back end
data infrastructure. This is a wide ranging position with opportunities for growth in many areas of
engineering at Brave.

Requirements

• Experience with C++ / Rust
• Experience with Go, JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience with SQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis and other related data storage technology
• Experience building robust API endpoints
• Experience with AWS and deploying production systems at scale
• Experience with software development via distributed development teams
• Comfortable working in an open source setting
• A passion for helping protect users’ privacy and security
• Written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proven record of getting things done

Nice to haves

• Experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with payment systems
• Familiarity with the world of cryptocurrency, especially Ethereum
