About the Role
We’re looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join our Index Governance team. The candidate should be a highly motivated and versatile individual with experience programming in Python, analyzing and manipulating large data sets, building and enhancing operational tools, and performing market microstructure research.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain analytical tools to monitor crypto trade data.
- Participate in the design process for python-based research, analytics, and index operations platform.
- Work with engineering to establish a process for updating the crypto security master.
- Develop and enhance index methodologies providing input and analysis to Index Committee proposals and decisions.
- Assist in the development of a centralized quantitative signal database.
- Building a robust, scalable research infrastructure, including alpha estimation and risk modeling components.
- Develop a seamless platform to handle all aspects of index calculation.
- Develop robust data checking, transformation, and storage procedures.
- Build operational control framework including monitoring and visualization tools for crypto trade data and index levels.
- Oversee crypto exchange trading and liquidity data used to produce CDI’s pricing services.
- Troubleshoot and address operational and system-related issues.
- Perform production-related functions.
About You
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience programming with Python.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Ability to efficiently manipulate and analyze large data sets.
- Experience working with SQL and historical time series data.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines and multitask effectively.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work East Coast hours
Preferred:
- Multi-asset, crypto, indexing, and/or foreign exchange experience.
- Experience with the software delivery lifecycle and writing production-quality code.
CoinDesk Inc and CoinDesk Indices Inc. are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $108,000 - $147,000 + discretionary annual target bonus + benefits. Offered salary may vary by geographic location, including city and state, and will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
