About the role

We are looking to hire a Chief of Staff to help us achieve our vision of democratizing access to decentralized web. We are in a stage of hypergrowth and in the next few years, we expect to onboard 100s of millions of people to the crypto ecosystem with MetaMask. This role is expected to have an impact on all strategic objectives of MetaMask - stability, security, accessibility, extensibility, leadership.

This role works closely with MetaMask and ConsenSys leadership to improve our organization and build the team that will change the world. This role will operationalize the MetaMask team’s existing strategy, work, processes, and alignment through tight collaboration with many stakeholders. 

About the role

  • Operationalize the collaboration, processes, and documentation of our leadership team
  • Translate the the existing MetaMask strategy into a set of operational improvements
  • Drive forward operational improvement projects to represent and support MetaMask's existing strategy
  • Empower and support the MetaMask leadership team to deliver on our strategy
  • Facilitates and organize the daily operations of the MetaMask leadership groups
  • Analyze and identify operational blockers, and propose solutions 
  • Work with team members during times of change to understand concerns and improve transitions
  • Execute operational initiatives from ideation to completion. Be in the weeds and help our leaders succeed.
  • Have a high emotional intelligence and ability to work with stakeholders to affect change
  • Produce communications from key meetings to all MetaMask team members, promoting transparency around important issues while avoiding destructive cognitive overload
  • Help follow-up / check-in on people on leadership teams when they commit to particular leadership tasks as a facilitator and servant leader
  • Organize planning processes for our operations team
  • Help Operations, Product/Strategy and People teams stay aware of external dates, deadlines and processes that can impact our work, and ensure we are properly preparing.
  • Work with team members around OKRs, communicate progress, and ensure transparent alignment
  • Coordinate information, plans and action items across all of our leadership teams, and support successful execution of initiatives/projects that our people in leadership roles are explicitly responsible for.
  • Optimize time to hire so that recruiting processes flow smoothly and efficiently. Facilitate and organize our hiring committee while serving as the daily contact point with our recruiters and sourcers.
  • Optimize time to on-board, creating detailed on-boarding journeys for new recruits and ensuring their successful transition into the team.

Role requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience scaling high growth organizations
  • 5+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, Operations, or equivalent role
  • 5+ year of experience in a leadership / management role
  • Share our vision, mission, and values
  • A passion for MetaMask, web3, and Ethereum
  • A proven track record of results related to these skill sets
