RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will own a broad set of research projects across a wide variety of topics
- Internal-facing data analysis to help the business understand its users and product
- External-facing projects to contribute to the global conversation on protocol design / trading / DeFi evolution
- Work with the Growth team to define audience segments and refine a strategy for each segment as needed
- Provide advisory services to other parts of the business on analytical / quantitative problems
- Release a regular schedule of research pieces across external platforms
- Collaborate with dYdX partners to enrich the research perspective
- Actively engage with the broader dYdX user base in community forums
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s (or equivalent experience) in math / computer science / physics / statistics or other STEM degree
- Excellent analytical skills
- Some experience writing and reading code
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Deep desire to ask questions, understand data, and develop hypotheses
NICE TO HAVES:
- Knowledge of and passion for everything in DeFi (especially dYdX!) and web3 with a track record
- Ideally have an existing personal research/content brand
- Experience in or knowledge of trading, market structure, and derivatives (particularly in crypto)
- 2 years working experience in a technical role (developer / analyst / quant / data scientist)
- Experience with our technologies: SQL / Python / Pandas / xarray
Salary range for this role is 100K to 350K USD (CA, NY, or remote). Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases, bonus eligibility, commission, or equity incentive.
