Newton team members are spread out across Canada within a fully-remote capacity.

Working closely with the Engineering Team, the IT Technical Support Specialist will engage closely with Newton employees to provide support, planning, deployment, and trouble-shooting. 

As the IT Technical Support Specialist you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring a best-in-class employee experience and living our core values in all interactions with our candidates • Coordination of pre-onboarding activities (technology and account setup), and ensuring an amazing first impression of Newton as an employer • Leading our virtual office operations, inventory management etc. • Managing our tech and other core operational items to ensure our team members have the tools they need to be successful in their roles • Maintaining our MDM software and ensuring OS updates are compatible with our current suite of products • Maintaining our VPN to adequately service employees • Starting a helpdesk program to troubleshoot issues with employees that would impact productivity, i.e.  authentication, connectivity, connection quality, etc. • Setting up and administering user accounts and system assets. • Supporting unique requirements of remote users. • Troubleshooting and support for internet connectivity and e-mail issues. • Open service requests and resolve issues with technical support professionals from application vendors. • Maintain databases to track hardware/software inventory and trouble tickets.

Must Haves:

• Exceptional communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with employees) • A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, strong technical focus and a creative thinker.
