Responsibilities
- ETL Support: Assist with data extraction, transformation, and loading to ensure reliable and accurate datasets.
- Database Management: Write, optimise, and troubleshoot SQL queries; work with relational and non-relational databases.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Explore and analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Reporting & Visualisation: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Datawind Dashboard, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Collaboration: Work closely with analysts, data scientists, and engineers on cross-functional projects.
- Documentation & Best Practice: Contribute to process documentation, data dictionaries, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Currently studying towards a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with at least one database management system (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB).
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, Python (pandas, NumPy), or R.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Datawind Dashboard).
- Previous internship, coursework, or project work in data analysis, data engineering, or machine learning.
- Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, or cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
