Overview

Are you a seasoned Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer with a passion for driving technical excellence and optimizing performance? We're seeking two experienced individuals to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in our development and expansion phases. As a Senior Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer, you will be Responsible for looking at performance engineering and planning for the next phase of Openmesh expansion. Also responsible in making sure Openmesh platform's technical infrastructure is ensured of optimal performance and stability.

About us

For the last 3 years, we have been building a petabyte-scale decentralized data infrastructure for crypto and Web 3.0 without a middleman, allowing everyone to have access to quality immutable data.

We believe access to reliable unedited information is a fundamental right, an aspect of a free and democratic society, and the only way to scale crypto & web3. The Core Principles of Openmesh Network, by design, has no single authority that can alter its data, how the information is distributed or controlled, or who can see what and when. The infrastructure and entire technology stack is open-source and governed by an open-source community.

Responsibilities

  • Compatibility and Connectivity: Explore diverse methods to ensure compatibility and effective integration with a variety of third-party services. Develop APIs that seamlessly connect and communicate with external systems. Well-designed and well-implemented APIs ensure seamless integration, allowing developers to leverage existing functionalities and services without reinventing the wheel.
  • Scalability and Performance: Design and develop APIs with a strong emphasis on scalability. Craft solutions that can handle increasing workloads and evolving user demands, delivering responsive and efficient performance.
  • Security: Conduct thorough security testing to identify vulnerabilities and implement robust security Networks. Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of data transmitted through our APIs.
  • Performance Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for optimization. Employ performance testing tools and methodologies to enhance API responsiveness.
  • Scalability Enhancement: Work closely with the development team to improve the scalability and performance of existing APIs. Implement strategies to ensure our APIs can grow seamlessly with the demands of our user base.
  • API Institutional-Grade Transformation: Elevate our APIs to institutional-grade standards by implementing best practices, adhering to coding standards, and ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability.
  • Best Practices and Trends: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to API development. Incorporate the latest advancements into our API strategies and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in API development and architecture, demonstrated through successful API projects.
  • Proficiency in various API integration methods and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of scalability principles and strategies in API design.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of security Networks and practices to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex API-related issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

About OPEN Data and Infrastructure Day

We are hosting OPEN Conference and Hackathon as an annual event to gather developers, data scientists, entrepreneurs, regulators, and large corporations to educate and bring new perspectives about how disruptive Web3 is as compared to our current and previous internet systems. The primary aim of this event is to raise awareness about the importance and urgency of solving the problem of concentrated power over our data and information technology (IT) technologies.

We want to provide valuable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities in the next generation of the internet, which is Web 3.0.

Why is it important and urgent to explore decentralization?

We want to put a halt to trusting centralized systems and handing over our future to them. When someone has access and control over a massive resource, things will always have a way to go overboard, and use it irresponsibly. They may have moral or ethical codes but having control over data as a great example has shown us how it was used commercially to control how a society thinks, and acts. We have seen how big Web2 corporations take advantage of our data. Web 3.0 presents an opportunity and responsibility for all of us to invent, define, question, and build better technologies for the future of the Internet, with a focus on decentralization and the empowerment of individuals.

OPEN conference, as an initiative within the Web3 space, will be an open area to challenge ideas about how we are going to build technologies, infrastructures, and standards across Web3.
