Job Description

The role involves identifying and understanding client requirements, architecting and designing bespoke solutions using advanced blockchain technologies, and creating detailed proposals.

  • A solution architect will work with each client to identify and understand their business and technical requirements.
  • Guide the client through the various solution options, educating them on the technology and the most optimal and future proof way to address their requirements.
  • Design and document a high level architecture, explaining the reasoning behind their decisions.
  • Design sophisticated technical solutions and be able to make technical decisions in real time as client requirements are understood.
  • Identify all technical issues of the client to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the process.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the clients.
  • Work closely with the technical leads and development teams to explain and handover the architecture of the project for implementation.
  • Accompany and support the technical leads and developments to address changes to client requirements that impact the architecture design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed proposals listing functional and non-functional requirements
  • Convey customer requirements to product managers and development teams.
  • Give regular status updates to other members of the business development team and program/project managers.
  • Stay up to date with a rapidly changing industry to develop an understanding of newly developed solutions in the market, with the ability to understand solutions in-depth, including the implications of their designs.

  • Have worked as an architect creating project designs for bespoke solutions developed from the ground up.
  • Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a fintech organisation with a rapidly expanding team and customer base.
  • Knowledge and experience of blockchain technology (ideally Ethereum)
  • Ability to write code in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Javascript, Java, C/C++, Rust.
  • Understand major cloud vendor stacks and offerings (AWS, Azure)
  • Proven track record collaborating with others in a dynamic, fast-paced, pressured environment, but capable of turning an abstract idea into a strategic, pragmatic solution where needed.
  • A careful blend of creativity and pragmatism. We are part of a community bootstrapping a technology and demand for the technology, while simultaneously delivering on tight delivery timelines.
  • Excellent communications skills, comfortable presenting complex concepts before large client audiences.
  • Ability to effectively summarise and present validation findings to senior level executives internally and at clients.
  • Inquisitive and fast learning.
  • Organisation and analytical mindset.
