Web3 Capital Markets - Analyst / Associate

Ondo Finance is building a DeFi protocol providing a suite of decentralized investment banking products and services to connect institutional investors and token issuers. We have just scratched the surface of opportunity in DeFi with services like lending, trading, and basic derivatives. We see a huge opportunity to bring a wider array of products from traditional finance to DeFi and create new financial primitives. Our first products are structured finance instruments that enable risk-mitigated or leveraged single-asset yield-generating positions, as well as provide liquidity-as-a-service (LaaS) to other crypto projects and select DAO’s.

Job Description

Ondo is seeking an Analyst / Associate-level professional to join the Capital Markets team. This role will focus on (i) supporting capital raising efforts and (ii) the development of the Ondo capital supply/demand ecosystem. This pioneering individual should have a broad skill set spanning qualitative and quantitative execution abilities in corporate finance, structured credit, capital markets, and/or credit underwriting. A demonstrated passion and awareness for DeFi / crypto is a must.

Given the diverse needs of the business and the nascent nature of the space, this individual will be required to wear multiple hats, foster creativity, and retain a high level of energy. This individual will gain a comprehensive knowledge of the industry and will have opportunities to lead projects, stand-up working groups, and drive impact on a growing team. The individual will have direct access to senior leaders; directly reporting to the Head of Capital Markets. The Capital Markets team will comprise TradFi and DeFi native expertise.

In summary, this person will:

Gain professional domain awareness of DeFi + Ondo’s products, flight path, and business strategy Be an integral part of the capital-raising and structuring efforts inclusive of developing presentation materials, modeling complex asset & liability structures, building asset allocation frameworks, and designing internal credit assessment processes.

Work with the DeFi Originator & Head of Capital Markets to reach out to investors and origination prospects, which entails managing and making initial outreach, as well as tracking activities Improve and maintain internal discussion materials, documentation, models, primers, and internal CRM system Build a relationship with internal product and engineering colleagues to gain a better grasp of the technology first approach Ondo takes to capital markets.

Work with general counsel to build internal policies and procedures that lead the way for best practices when it comes to the application of financial expertise in DeFi

What We’re Looking For:

Partial daily overlap with EST (Head of Capital Markets based in PST) — typically this means you're located in the Americas, Europe, or Africa, unless you're willing to work unusual hours Self-starter, problem-solver, excellent communication skills, detail-oriented. Relevant prior experience in investment banking, capital markets, ABS / CLO structuring, or credit underwriting Understanding of financial statements, loans, and securitization is preferred. Demonstrated interest in crypto/DeFi/DAOs — building, investing, yield farming, minting, voting, or whatever excites you in the space Strong Microsoft skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Familiarity with Notion, Telegram, Discord, and DeFi native data solutions is preferred Demonstrated track record of excellence in academic, professional, and personal endeavors. Rigorous attention to detail, analytical mind, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment. Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
