ETHGlobal is growing the most valuable developer community in web3. As the usage of blockchain technology grows, the world is going to need more talented engineers, designers, and product leaders to build the future that blockchain technology is promising. We work with exactly these kinds of people every single day through the products we organize for our community. By focusing on this community, we think we can accelerate the transition to a crypto-native digital economy.

Historically, ETHGlobal has been about running hackathons around the world (we've run a hackathon in every continent except Antartica!), and we've been very successful at that. Hundreds of people have found jobs from our events, won millions in prizes, and some have even started businesses worth tens to hundreds of millions of dollars. Today, however, we see a path to be something much larger.

Designing at ETHGlobal is about empowering our community to do great things, together. We're a collection of crypto native engineers, community leaders, event organizers, and investors. Together, we will build the best community platform for technical talent in the entire crypto industry.

ETHGlobal was early in supporting the crypto community and have been doing so since 2017. We're a small team of 13, and we’re looking for passionate people who are invigorated by the opportunity to have a major impact on how developers learn and grow in this industry. You would be a successful candidate if you are self-motivated, have a sense of urgency, like getting things done, and are committed to learning more about the exciting world of web3.

What you'll do

• As part of the Marketing team, you will collaborate closely with all other teams (Partnerships, Engineering, and Leadership) to support ETHGlobal’s communication strategy for our products and events.
• Help produce multi-media content across our different platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Discord, Instagram and E-mail and along our various Marketing campaign to inform and entertain our developer community.
• Deep-dive into the latest news and trends in crypto and work on well researched Twitter threads and memes.
• Engage in community building activities such as Discord community calls and Twitter Spaces, and contribute in reaching out to individuals and communities we are collaborating with.
• Help with the promotional plans of our products Guides, Jobs and our staple Events hosted all across the globe
• Track and analyze growth across our platforms, preparing reports and presenting them with confidence.
• Gain experience with, or training in, a variety of Content Management Systems and Work Management Tools (for example Hypefury, Notion and Linear)
• Document and present your progress and findings, and report to the Marketing team as well as the entire ETHGlobal staff regularly

Who we’re looking for

• You have past experience in working in Social Media for businesses
• You have a particular interest in multimedia content production and copywriting, graphic design skills and/or video editing are and advantage
• Minimum commitment period of 3 months (full-time)
• You have excellent communication skills, are eager to learn in a fast-paced environment and are a team-player
• You're excited about challenges and getting things done from start to finish
• You’re a self-motivated learner – take initiative to learn the unknown & share new understanding for yourself and your peers
• You thrive on feedback from your peers and are constantly looking to improve
