A day in the life of a Data Analyst

At Infura we have an immense amount of data to explore, whether it is API usage, website usage, or operational health, you’re going to have a lot of fun digging in, gaining insights, and helping make our product and product experience better. You will be a key member of our Product team working in unison with our Data teams. Your partners and data customers will range across the entire organization including Design, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and more and you will be a key stakeholder in helping define how we present data to our customers. 

The Infura Data Analyst will conduct all complexities of analysis of our big data sets both by building dashboards and through custom queries. If you are a dashboard and data report artist, this is the role for you. Presentation of data and your findings should be a key part of your process and is a one of the key areas for expressing your creativity in data explorations. This person will lead the management and reporting of regularly tracked KPIs. These KPIs will be designed through partnership with product managers, engineers, your fellow data team, product marketing managers, customer success, and more.

Creativity is a key element of this role. Our customers have almost endless possibilities when using our product and we will have to constantly evolve our analysis and data processes to better understand their experiences and what we can do to improve them. This creativity extends outwards as well, this role will work closely with our marketing team to help communicate to our customers and potential customers why we are the best web3 developer platform.

Skills to succeed in this role

As a key member of our data and product team, you will be very comfortable contributing to the data modeling layer, which exposes clean transformed data to the whole company for analytics, based on our data platform infrastructure. You will have experience and a high degree of comfort using SQL to analyze large datasets and one of the many standard data visualization tools such as Looker, Grafana, or Tableau for building easy to understand dashboards and reports.

This role at its core is a communicator so you should be motivated by the opportunity to explore the problems our business is trying to solve and provide insights back to the business derived from your analysis. You should be confident in both your written communication and visual communication through data.

We would love to bring in a person who is excited to grow with us not only via our overall business intelligence function but also as we build out our data science practices. If you have experience in the blockchain industry this is a bonus but definitely not mandatory, we are all learning and an eagerness to learn is the more important element.
