Web3 DeFi Analyst and 1-on-1 Associate

ABOUT US
Yieldschool helps onboard crypto investors into the Primary Crypto Markets, aka DeFi. We’re different from the typical ‘crypto gurus’ or educational programs you may see online. We do not do day trading, we do not speculate on meme coins. Our investing style is more akin to angel investing.

We believe crypto and the decentralized markets are the future and that the infrastructure is still in its early stages of development. We are taking advantage of this arbitrage opportunity to invest in web3 businesses that provide real value, generate revenue, and distribute that revenue to their users/investors.


OUR TEAM
The Founder, Frank Hepworth, is a Licenced Regulatory Financial Attorney. He’s worked at Canada's top law firm where his role was to consult crypto exchanges on what assets they could and could not legally list on their platform. He’s written out their policies and procedures and negotiated against the government on behalf of our crypto exchange clients; some of the documents he wrote helped the first crypto ETFs get approved onto the Toronto stock exchange.

In short, he’s worked with two of the biggest players in the crypto industry - the crypto exchanges and the government.

Our Curriculum Lead, Dr. Patrick McCunn, is a PhD Neuroscientist and an actual Professor. He generated a 2,000%+ gain in the crypto bear market.


ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a DeFi native with great interpersonal skills and sales experience to join our team as our DeFi Associate.

You will need back-of-hand familiarity with all things decentralized finance. "Bridging", “swapping”, "perps" and "burner wallets" must be terms you can speak and act on without any preparation.

When a client is qualified, you will also be selling our additional services. Commission will be earned on these sales. There is a per-client flat compensation which forms baseline earnings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Host weekly Office Hours/Q&A sessions on Thursdays. Common topics include: your thoughts on the current market and where it’s heading, a quick analysis on a particular project where you will have to do some quick due diligence for them live, how to purchase a certain asset in DeFi, the best place to get yield on a particular token, etc.
• 1-on-1 calls with clients: You will be meeting with our clients face-to-face over Zoom to ensure they are successfully progressing through the service our company provides. You will be helping them build their portfolio following the template we provide and guide them through anything they are having difficulty with in the program or in our membership
• Impartial Guidance: Provide unbiased support, avoiding favoritism toward any specific protocol or ecosystem.
• Answer questions in our Membership: Help answer our members’ questions, offer insights and share news and opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

• DeFi Expertise: Deep understanding of the ins-and-outs of decentralized finance and the overall crypto markets; experience conducting research and fundamental analysis on projects
• Experience in sales, particularly high-ticket B2C sales or low-ticket B2B sales
• Excellent Communication and People Skills: Ability to explain complex topics in a way that is easy to understand for beginners and ability to build genuine relationships with our clients
• Critical Thinking Skills, Impartiality, and Level-headedness: Ability to provide unbiased advice and support and ability to navigate different market conditions
• Experience in teaching (not required but a big plus)
