Web3 Engineering Manager, Platform Ecosystems

Role and Responsibilities

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Ecosystems team. In this high-impact role, you will lead the team responsible for providing a streamlined developer experience for Superchain users. The team builds tools and reference implementations to help guide application developers in using the Superchain, ushering them through new paradigms and protocol changes.

What are the role responsibilities?

• This is a small team. We expect the manager to be a player-coach, capable and willing to dive in and lead by example. Writing code and reviewing PRs will be a significant part of your job. The ideal candidate will be capable of delivering at a Senior Engineer level.

• Empower the engineering team to achieve a high level of technical productivity, reliability, and simplicity—build and reinforce a shipping culture

• Manage team career development by coaching and mentoring engineers though continuous feedback, goal setting and development plans

• Collaborate closely with product team to set engineering priorities

What skills do you bring?

• 1+ years of people management experience at a high-growth startup

• Experience recruiting and building high-performing engineering teams

• Experience managing geographically distributed teams

• Experience managing and developing both junior engineers as well as senior individual contributors

• Demonstrated interest and participation in the crypto/web3 ecosystem—full-time work experience in crypto is not required but is a plus

• Significant experience as a hands-on software engineer. Full-stack experience is a plus

• Experience in Typescript or Go

• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment in a rapidly evolving, cutting edge industry

• Clear and persuasive writing and in-person communication
