Web3 Financial Controller

About the role

At Palm NFT Studios, we are not only looking to establish ourselves as the leader in the NFT space but also ensure that our roles are a break from the standard and sometimes dull norm. An Financial Controller role could easily be thought of in this way.. but not at Palm NFT Studio!

Our Financial Controller will serve as the face of Palm NFT Studio to help establish a dynamic financial model, which Palm will use in financial planning, cash runway analysis, fundraising, and M&A projects

This really is an exciting opportunity for the correct candidate to provide effective financial analysis and reporting to multiple enterprise clients within the Arts and Entertainment world as well as partners working within our growing Palm network. You will be expected to have previous business partnering skills, reporting to several stakeholders with a natural attention to detail, ability to multitask and be a fluent, strong and confident communicator.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly financial close for all reporting entities worldwide
• Responsible for daily accounting operations
• Assists with fiat and crypto treasury functions
• Assists with summarizing financial processes and policies
• Responsible for enforcing T&E and purchasing policies
• Assists with designing and implementing financial controls
• Implements changes in financial reporting upon advice of technical accounting advisors
• Manages financial audits
• Lead implementation of new finops software
• Provide suggestions for process improvement and automation
• Manage junior staff
• Assist with due diligence for acquisitions and integration of acquired entities
• Assist with equity and debt fundraising
• Participate inadhocprojects as requested

Required Skills

• Interest in the crypto industry and NFTs
• Technical understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles, min. 3 yrs finance or accounting experience preferred
• 10 yrs of experience
• CPA is a must
• Accounting degree a must
• Experience working with foreign subsidiaries a must
• interest in crypto/blockchain a must
  Experience implementing accounting software strongly preferred (something like Netsuite)
• teamplayer is a must - anyone who oversells themselves, fluffs resume, claims to have done everything and anything.... no go
• Extremely pedantic, checks everything 3x and cares about their work
• It's good to have audit experience but I won't take anyone who ONLY has done audit. We need at least 4 years of inhouse accounting work.

Bonus Points

• Experience working in a start-up culture or within industries such as, Entertainment, Gaming, Production (TV or Film), Advertising or a Marketplace (Amazon, Etsy, etc.)
