Reach is hiring a Head of Business Development and Strategic Financial Partnerships - DeFi/Crypto

Reach Labs, Reach’s in-house division focused on building direct-to-consumer products, that leverage the safety, security, and ease-of-development benefits afforded by the Reach platform, a faster, safer, simpler way to build decentralized apps. The first product is HumbleSwap, a decentralized exchange (DEX) that will become part of a suite of DeFi applications under the Humble brand.
The Head of Business Development and Strategic Financial Partnerships will report directly to the Director of DeFi to secure partnerships with large institutional investors, namely, big players in the financial industry seeking to break into DeFi. We are looking for a highly experienced leader with ample experience in partnerships, institutional finance, and ideally DeFi. This individual will be responsible for ensuring Humble has access to the capital and strategic support necessary to position itself in the global DeFi market.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement partnership agreements for Humble in the traditional financial industry to achieve investment, promotion, and endorsement for Humble.
- Lead the account management and sales plan for a portfolio of large strategic partners, mainly in the finance industry.
- Plans and negotiates large-scale deals with key strategic partners to protect and grow Humble's market share.
- Direct the development of incentive and strategic alliance proposals.
- Negotiate contractual relationships & continuously review partners, and markets’ landscapes to develop and implement new creative approaches for Humble to meet our business and financial objectives.
- Build and maintain a portfolio of institutional prospects; actively establish long-term relationships and strengthen existing relationships.
- Own all elements of the partnership lifecycle: scoping of opportunities, identifying potential partners, framing of value, negotiating agreements, and implementation of partnerships.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the platform and Humble product in order to provide knowledgeable support to top clients and potential partners both externally and internally (be well versed in the DeFi space to be able to speak intelligently about competitors and Humble's advantages).
- Recognize new industry trends and use this data to inform and guide our corporate partnership strategy and future relationships.
- Create a comprehensive DeFi integration and partnerships program at Humble, to establish Humble as the preferred DeFi Suite globally.
- Find opportunities for national/international expansion and partnerships, as well as strategic partnerships in key areas critical for Humble long-term sustainable growth.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of successful experience in partnerships and/or business development with a strong track record of results and a portfolio of demonstrated relationships in the financial industry.
- 6+ years of experience in the financial industry/banking
- Excellent writing, interpersonal and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional proposal writing and presentation capabilities.
- Deep understanding of revenue generation, finance, and deal structuring.
- The talent and ability to gain the trust of others and foster collaborative relationships.
- Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously.
- Passionate about DeFi and know what’s happening in the space.
- Experience developing programs to build, nurture and grow relationships with large business/financial leaders.
- Driven and results-oriented, but humble and self-aware.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

- Prior experience working on a Crypto exchange or DEX.
