We are looking for a leader of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at a very exciting time of growth. Transaction volume grew over 600x in 2021. This is a strategic leadership opportunity reporting to our CFO. The ideal leader will have built and scaled FP&A teams at hyper growth companies and is able to architect and implement new analytics and planning systems. The leader will partner across OpenSea to drive results, develop performance reporting and analytics, and create investment frameworks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is motivated by an extraordinarily fast-paced environment, adaptable to changing responsibilities and priorities, and wants to do interesting work in a cutting-edge industry.
Responsibilities: - Build and develop a leading FP&A team - Drive a performance management culture and provide cross functional leaders with insights on key business and performance drivers - Own financial planning and provide leaders with insights to manage headcount and expenses - Develop financial models, track and analyze financial KPIs, uncover trends and assess business risks and opportunities to provide recommendations to senior leaders - Help to deploy systems and develop tools to monitor spend effectiveness, guide investment decisions, and drive continuous improvement - Develop relevant Board materials - Manage the long-term financial planning process - Continuously improve operational efficiencies by building scalable processes
Desired Experience: - B.S. or B.A. in accounting, finance, math, economics, business, engineering or other technical field - 8+ years professional work experience with a focus in financial planning at a fast growing, technology company - Strong knowledge of Accounting principles - Deep understanding and comfort with building complex financial models - Netsuite, Anaplan, and Google Suite experience - Experience breaking down complex processes or models in a concise, consumable format - Experience with SQL, comfortable working with large datasets - Team player and experience managing a small team - Strong sense of ownership and accountability - Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills - Ability to work well in a dynamic environment, recommend and implement process improvements, hands-on, results-oriented and self-motivated - Growth mindset and are willing to quickly adapt and learn new things - Experience with consumer-facing products, blockchain or cryptocurrency, startup experience is a plus
