We are looking for a passionate, hands-on modem/cellular system test engineer who has expertise in hands-on wireless system test diagnostics, analytics, certification, IOT, and/or cellular system performance. The Modem/Cellular System Test Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the development teams to understand requirements, break the requirements down to write, and execute test cases, then document all failures with appropriate logs/screenshots.
What You’ll Do:
- Strong understanding of 3GPP specifications (LTE & NR Air Interface, PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, PDCP, and NAS layer)
- Participate in all ongoing projects
- Work within development and testing schedules in order to meet all expectations and deadlines
- Establish and uphold the quality standards of the software team
- Review product requirements documents for conformity
- Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent of quality
- Work intimately with software development engineers to understand the overall technical requirements and how each feature will be implemented
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience organizing and leading a structured test process for shipping a software and hardware product
- 5+ years of hands-on testing experience in wireless system testing, certification, and/or cellular system performance
- Experience in defining, developing, and validating cellular modem system test cases for mobile devices using popular test development platforms
- Broad spectrum of knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end wireless system architecture from wireless physical layer all the way to application layer
- Excellent planning, communication, and observational skills
- Jira, Confluence, Testrail experience preferred
- Embedded Linux or Android experience required
- BS degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience
- International remote work possible
Compensation:
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$180,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
