Web3 Motion Designer

Kava Labs is seeking a Motion Designer with strengths in motion and graphic design. As our Designer you will work directly with a creative director producing design work across various digital touch-points.You will work alongside a team of world class crypto experts, and take ownership of an open-source project on a platform that transfers millions of dollars in assets daily and provide the financial primitives for the next evolution in crypto. Kava's blockchain solution enables decentralized stable coins, bonds, and lending for crypto users.

This is a full time, remote position based in North America. Candidates can apply from time zones ranging from PST to EST (USA or Canada). We are looking for your experience and perspective to contribute to our growing company and culture! We are a 100% distributed workforce with teams in the US, Canada, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.

What You Will Do.

• Produce motion design assets for social media, web, and marketing outreach
• Enhancing creative assets with motion design and video.
• Collaborate the Creative and Marketing teams to align creative strategy and build branded design systems.
• Involved with enhancing web design with motion graphics.
• Experience with enhancing motion graphics with Cinema 4D is nice to have.
• Strong conceptual thinker. Designers are expected to not just execute ideas but also be a part of the initial creative process.
• Perform project updates, revisions, and maintenance as required.
• Produce high quality explainer and tutorial videos.
• Able to work Pacific Standard Time hours.

How You Will Succeed.

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in graphic and motion design.
• Experience using 3D design, illustration and video editing.
• Proficient user in After Effects, Illustrator, Premier, Photoshop or Cinema 4D.
• Understanding of graphic design principles.
• Portfolio demonstrating understanding of design principles and motion design skills.
• Experience with art direction and motion design projects.
• An interest in crypto, Fintech, and blockchain technology is a plus.
• Ability to learn and apply new knowledge and skills quickly, in a fast-paced work environment.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and joy for iterating on projects from early experimental ideas through to completion.
