Web3 Senior Counsel - Tech Transactions

Centre Standard Stablecoins are backed by audited reserves held at regulated financial institutions.

About the Opportunity:

• Centre is hiring a Senior Counsel - Tech Transactions to help structure and negotiate precedent-setting deals across a burgeoning USDC ecosystem
• This position will engage alongside Tier 1 global financial institutions, Layer 1 blockchains, and many more prominent partners in the blockchain, fintech and banking sectors
• This is a unique opportunity to shape technical and non-technical standards developments across the stablecoin ecosystem, bridging web3 and traditional finance
• This position will report to the General Counsel, but will work directly with the entire leadership team

About You:

• Creative, skilled and detail-oriented contract drafter and negotiator. Experience developing precedents, not just applying them
• Fluency in technology licensing, patents, trademarks, open source, blockchain, digital assets, information security is a must; understanding of financial concepts and regulations is desirable
• Passionate about blockchain and cryptocurrency
• Comfortable handling a broad range of both complex and routine commercial contracts
• Prior startup experience, or enthusiasm to be part of a small but high-impact team
• Currently licensed in a U.S. state; J.D. or equivalent with 5+ years of legal experience
• Preferably a combination of law firm experience and in-house experience with a technology company
