Web3 Senior Project Manager, Economics

About the Team:

The Economics team uses a market design approach to develop practical incentive mechanisms that scale to more than a billion participants of the Worldcoin network. In our team, Economists, Computer Scientists and Statisticians work together to rapidly design, build, and field-test Operator auctions, user incentive programs, fraud mitigation techniques, etc., that work robustly with thousands of Operators and billions of users around the world. Using data from large-scale field experiments, we iterate quickly and often to optimize our designs.

About the Opportunity:

You will be responsible for managing and executing several key projects of the Economics team with a high degree of complexity. Your focus will be on operational tasks, making sure that the economic mechanisms designed by the Economics team (like auctions, incentive schemes, surveys, fraud mitigation techniques, etc.) are correctly implemented and tested in practice. Your work will directly impact operations in the field, shaping the mechanisms that are used at a global scale as part of Worldcoin's incentive design.

In this role, you will:

• Analyze the needs of users, Operators, and other stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with market design experts on the design of new economic mechanisms
• Frequently align with stakeholders from across the entire organization (including Growth, Product, Legal, Blockchain, and Engineering) regarding the implementation of new mechanisms
• Execute your projects and independently drive them to success
• Collaborate closely with data scientists to analyze field data and inform data-driven decisions related to your projects

About You:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of professional project management experience
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to own problems end-to-end and get the job done
• Practically oriented
• Thriving in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment
• Good understanding of economic concepts (like game theory, auctions, etc.)
• Basic experience with statistics and data analysis
• Experience working on real-world marketplaces a plus
