What you’ll do
The Senior QA Automation Engineer is a key contributor in ensuring we are able to deliver quality products to our end users. Acting as the gatekeeper between our development and user environments, they work meticulously to test and retest products, seeking out defects and driving their resolution with software engineers.
- Design and develop test scripts that are reusable throughout the project
- Build new test frameworks and/or extends existing frameworks and configure tools to accommodate both functional and load testing
- Ensure that no bug is discovered after release. They'll challenge all user scenarios and test cases to investigate all possibilities of failure
- Enjoy scripting everything by themselves and working closely with Business Analysts and Tech Leads in order to make sure that all aspects of testing are covered
- Have demonstrated a track record in terms of pushing the limits of automation, covering end to end testing by leveraging multiple components
Key activities include:
- Define, propose and refine test strategies
- Conduct technology watch of available tools
- Propose test strategies appropriate to the situation
- Prepare corresponding flow charts and diagrams
- Define, propose and refine test framework
- Set-up testing tools and pipeline
- Evaluate functional and non-functional requirements together with Business Analyst and Tech Lead in order to propose and implement adequate testing frameworks
- Document all testing processes
- Administer and maintain all automation scripts and review all product changes in coordination with tech team in order to anticipate required changes
- Implement test cases
- Monitor functional and non-functional requirements in order to implement automated test cases
- Continuously and rigorously implement all test cases, evaluate results, and prepare corresponding test data and reports
- Occasionally define and perform manual testing, when appropriate
Would be great if you brought this to the role:

- 5+ years experience as a QA Automation Engineer with experience in:
- Testing strategies and frameworks
- Test script development
- Experience with: functional and black-box testing, regression testing, system integration testing, load testing, manual testing
- Java coding skills and experience
- Experience with applications written in Javascript, React.js, Node.js
- Knowledge of, and experience with:
- Testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI, Junit, Eclipse)
- Security scanning tools (Veracode, Fortify, Checkmark)
- Chaos engineering (chaos monkeys, gremelins)
- Performance testing (SpeedTest, Jmeter)
- You should have experience working in an agile software development environment.
- Support program or project manager with operational and administrative initiatives for the customer portfolio, including customer invoicing, portfolio or team growth
The ideal candidate:
- Professional certification in Quality Assurance
- Interest and up to date with the Ethereum blockchain and EVM-compatible chains.
- Experience in both larger mature enterprises and startup / tech environments.
- Experience working on global projects/teams.
- Ability to travel, when safe, sometimes internationally, for work related events or meetings.
- Hands-on learner and explorer.
- Bias for action.
- Desire to follow through and execute on assignments.
- Knowing when to ask for help.
