Web3 Sr. Fraud Specialist

<h3>Your Purpose&nbsp;</h3>

The Fraud Specialist is responsible for identifying risky behavior in Bitso users’ accounts, both retail and institutional. This role involves conducting investigations, monitoring suspicious transactions and analyzing users complaints related to fraud, all to safeguard Bitso’s reputation and protect its users.

In order to effectively perform this role, the fraud team members always stay up-to-date on the products and services Bitso offers its customers, which foster a valuable knowledge of the crypto and the traditional financial markets in Latin America.

Reports To

Fraud Operation manager

Who You Are

• 4+ years of experience in fraud investigations and/or operational fraud teams in banks or fintechs.
• Ability to perform quick risk assessments and prioritize in atypical situations, such as fraud attacks.
• Capacity to balance attention to detail, quality, and adherence to agreed SLAs based on the scenario
• Fluency in both Spanish and English is mandatory
• Experience working with institutional accounts is a must.
• Experience communicating with stakeholders and cross functional teams to discuss investigation results and risk appetite.

What You Will Do

• Identify suspicious behavior on Bitso users' accounts based on automatic alerts, user complaints or bank reports.
• Investigate and report complex cases
• Work together with other anti-fraud teams (analytics, process improvements and strategy) and company stakeholders to create and/or enhance fraud operational process of new fraud Modus Operandi
