Web3 Technical Business Analyst

Blockdaemon is looking for a full-time, highly motivated and driven Technical Business Analyst, reporting to the Programme Director.

As a Technical Business Analyst you will interpret and support the elaboration of business requirements, liaising with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure that technical solutions meet their needs. You will work closely with Product Managers, Business Relationship Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, Engineers and Project Managers to support the development of solutions and the impacting process, communicating progress and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.

As part of a rapidly growing multi-skilled team, you will be expected to contribute to all areas of delivery and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, working with the team to implement the desired changes.

In this role you will:

• Be responsible for capturing requirements related to Staking, API functionality and Dedicated Node offerings according to customer needs.
• Play a critical role in progressing our product roadmap, representing the organization in client meetings when required
• Work with internal and external customers to ensure we have the relevant information to enable solution design and impact
• Be the Project Manager’s right hand by bridging the gap between the requirement and technical solution, providing estimates and clarity of scope, supporting the delivery of optimal engineering solutions.
• Create supporting documentation to ensure Engineers have a clear understanding of the requirements and agreed Acceptance Criteria is in place.
• Work with Product Owners to define/refine Epics and User Stories, with clear business rules and acceptance criteria where relevant
• Work with the Technical lead to create a logical ‘assembly line’ of features based on requirements and optimal engineering efficiencies
• Provide key input to the Project Manager to enable Project Planning, including articulation of Project Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies identified
• Identify and communicate where changes or additional requirements impact on scope and ensure they are impacted and replanned accordingly
• Identify and deliver process improvements related to the Business Analysis and Project function
• Clearly communicate progress on requirements gathering and impacting to key stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Business Analysis experience at a technology company specifically involving software development; preferably for a SaaS company. Blockchain experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with SaaS implementations, technical integrations, software rollouts
• Analytical and problem solving skills, using appropriate tools to clearly illustrate solutions and transition from ‘As is’ to ‘To be’
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish trust, credibility, network and build relationships at all levels of the organization
• Excellent team player who is focussed on finding ways to continuously improve how we work
• Must be self-starter and comfortable working independently
• Ability to think creatively, own issues and excel in a fast-paced environment
• Kindness, passion, and collaborative work ethic, with ability to manage conflicting priorities

Big Plus Skills:

• Experience with Asana, Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence), and other project management software
• General knowledge of the dynamic Blockchain industry and concepts
