Ripple is hiring a
Web3 Technical Community Lead, RippleX

Compensation: $36k - $58k estimated

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

RippleX’s mission is to inspire and enable developers and institutions to collectively build the Internet of Value (IoV) - which will enable the world to move value like information moves today. To support the developer community, Ripple is seeking a Technical Community Lead to join the Developer Relations team. This position will play an instrumental role in interacting with and fostering the vibrant XRPL developer community.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-starter and clear communicator with 5+ years of relevant experience for this position.

What you'll do:

This role's primary focus will be managing our relationship with the independent developer community, including coordinating across our developer platforms, industry events, hackathons, and forums. You will further the already robust, active technical community, bringing XRPL developers together virtually and physically - and ensuring that you are building relationships between developers to support the community to grow on its own. You will continuously keep a pulse on feedback from the community on products and features, and work to integrate this feedback into our product roadmap. Previous experience launching and supporting independent community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter) is preferred.

As the Technical Community Lead you will:

  • Create a strategy for Ripple’s engagement with the developer community, and then execute on such community programs, including communications and social media engagement
  • Lead RippleX’s participation in technical and industry events to build community and boost brand awareness
  • Drive the strategy behind and creation of developer enablement materials such as: videos, podcasts, content, etc.
  • Address community comments and queries in a timely manner in partnership with Growth Marketing and Communications
  • Advocate for the developer community: gather and compile feedback from the developer community including key needs, problems, and features missing
  • Work with relevant cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and legal to ensure community feedback is incorporated into plans
  • Track and analyze measures of community engagement in the form of KPIs
  • Help inform marketing messaging and positioning to developers.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) driving excellence as a community manager or developer relations
  • A data-driven approach to building and nurturing communities
  • Deep understanding of developers and what motivates them
  • Experience with community platforms like Telegram, Discord, Stack Overflow, etc.
  • Ability to identify, track and report on relevant community metrics
  • Willingness to dig into technical issues and find the best solution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • The chance to work in a fast-paced start-up environment with experienced industry leaders
  • A learning environment where you can dive deep into the latest technologies and make an impact
  • Competitive salary and equity
  • 100% paid medical and dental and 95% paid vision insurance for employees starting on your first day
  • 401k (with match), commuter benefits
  • Industry-leading parental leave policies
  • Generous wellness reimbursement and weekly onsite programs
  • Flexible vacation policy - work with your manager to take time off when you need it
  • Employee giving match
  • Modern office in San Francisco’s Financial District
  • Fully-stocked kitchen with organic snacks, beverages, and coffee drinks
  • Weekly company meeting - ask me anything >
  • Team outings to sports games, happy hours, game nights and more!
