Web3 UX Researcher

Position Overview:

At Blockdaemon, we care deeply about the people who use our products. Researchers are a critical part of our design team, enabling us to gain deeper insight into the needs, behaviors, and attitudes of people who use our products, helping inform our design and product decisions. You will be working collaboratively to contribute new ideas to products that impact our customers and the entire blockchain ecosystem. We value diverse perspectives across anthropology, design research, human factors, market research, sociology, and social psychology. This role will report to the Director of Design.

Responsibilities

• Design and administer studies that help Blockdaemon understand user behavior and sentiment
• Be the voice of the user, advocating for the people who could use our products
• Conduct research using qualitative and quantitative methods, and interpret analysis through the lens of design/HCI and business
• Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing to identify research topics
• Identify research goals and select the right projects to benefit our team
• Generate insights that help with ideation and evaluation of designs
• Democratize research and insights, communicating and illustrating suggestions through story-telling

Skills and Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant experience within UX research, design, applied research, and/or product research and development
• Experience planning and executing research projects in a product group
• Ability to lead research design using qualitative and quantitative methods including but not limited to usability studies, contextual inquiry, and surveys
• Experience contextualizing research findings into insights and narratives through storytelling
• Experience identifying and leading projects that contribute to our shared understanding of our users and customers
• A strong ability to build meaningful cross-functional relationships

• Knowledge of the product design process

Preferred Qualifications:

• Organized, able to think and perform outside the box, and be able to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
• Experience in doing remote usability testing and user-centered research
• Blockchain-related experience is a big plus!
