Web3 VP of of Utility Scale Mining Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Utility Scale Mining Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our team. The Vice President of Utility Scale Mining FP&A will play a critical role in driving financial planning, analysis, and business strategy within the Utility Scale Mining Business Unit. This position requires a strong leader with excellent analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of financial management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Financial Strategy and Planning:

1. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
2. Develop cash flow models to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
3. Develop and maintain long-term financial models to support strategic decision-making for Utility Scale Mining.
4. Provide insights and recommendations for business performance improvement based on financial analysis.
5. Optimize cash flow management and working capital.

• Financial Analysis & Reporting:

1. Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
2. Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights to Utility Scale Mining leadership.
3. Conduct variance analysis to understand deviations from budget and forecast and recommend corrective actions.
4. Create and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability of mining operations.
5. Monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting on each individual data center.

• Process Improvement:

1. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis.
2. Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making on capital investments and other strategic projects.
3. Leverage technology and data analytics to streamline financial processes and reporting.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

1. Act as a key liaison with corporate finance and other external stakeholders.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA is preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, financial ERP systems, and data analytics platforms.
