About The Role
The Howard Hughes Corporations is working on ambitious plans in the Web3 space starting with the creation of a Web3 Hub at Pier 17 in NYC, which will be the focal point for the Web3 community. The Hub will be a multiuse space for co-working, events, educational talks, and more. Additionally, the Company has a newly built NFT Gallery to create exhibitions with NFT artists and collectors.
What you'll do
- The Community and Events Manager supports Web3 community development and growth initiates by owning operations around community moderation and sentiment reporting, coordinating and managing on-site events, and establishing co-working initiatives to reach and capture audiences.
- You will work cross-functionally with internal team members to manage the Hub space and NFT gallery.
- Network and assess new partnership opportunities, research new and existing NFT and Hub projects and connect people within the community.
- Review and analyze data concerning partners and projects to find the best overlap with target market and goals. Coordinate promotional campaigns to support the networking efforts of delegates. This role reports to the SVP, Digital and Brand Creative.
- Utilize Twitter, Discord, and other social channels to manage, engage and grow the Company’s Web3 community space.
- Onboard new users and ensure their continued success as community members.
- Solicit feedback from community interactions, synthesize insights and analyze data metrics to best represent the community to the internal team; provide feedback to all stakeholders. Surface critical issues.
- Actively engage with the Web3 community both online and in real life.
- In partnership with the Marketing Department, help organize Web3 community events. With community’s interest in mind, evaluate return on investment.
- Respond to technical and non-technical inquiries from users and troubleshoot issues.
- Organize and host community educational events to maintain a vibrant community culture.
- Keep internal and external informational resources up to date in an environment of rapid iteration.
- Contribute ideas and efforts to our brand and content to further the success of the community.
- Work on projects largely tied to high-priority company initiatives relating to the Hub or Gallery.
- Follow up with provided contact lists as well as searching out new partnerships with NFT Artists/projects.
- Find opportunities within the local community for the Hub and Gallery to be a place for events to help bring awareness and growth within The Seaport area.
- Organize the onsite attendee process, and schedule pre-event meetings in preparation for the event.
- Create an events knowledge base of data and insights of past events that will help inform future ones.
- Research upcoming events in the blockchain technology and contact about possible participation.
- Prepare and send speaking proposal for events, synchronizing community needs and marketing strategy.
- Distribute post-event surveys and collecting feedback from attendees and speakers.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or related field
- Three to four years of experience building and moderating communities both online and offline.
- Capable of planning on-site, high impact, educational events.
- Demonstrable experience with relevant blockchain technologies.
- Understanding of and a passion for decentralized technology.
- Strong presence and following on Twitter.
- Business development sensibility.
- Capable of adapting to different audiences in order to reach end goals no matter title, scope of responsibility or internal or external contact.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Experience with DAOs and NFT community, a plus.
- Experience coordinating marketing material for various online platforms
- Ability to evaluate opportunities and develop creative approaches to achieve goals.
- Ability to successfully manage and keep track of multiple tasks at the same time and plan in advance.
- Must be highly motivated, personable, and eager to learn and grow professionally in this groundbreaking environment.
- Ability to establish trust and credibility with customers and partners.
- Desire to be proactive and create a positive customer experience for clients and partners.
- Organized, detailed oriented, meticulous.
- Prioritizes multiple requests for timely and efficient execution

- Plan events from conception to completion
- Engaging in consultative conversations with NFT projects and generating interest with the general public.
SCHEDULE
The Company follows a hybrid work schedule, and employees are typically expected to work onsite Tuesday – Thursday. Due to the nature of this role, evening and weekend availability is also required to help promote and manage events.
