Role Summary

The Marketing Programme Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing marketing projects within timelines and directions set out by the leadership Team.

As a Marketing Programme Manager you will oversee and lead marketing projects from the initial brainstorming and research phase, straight through implementation or production, and on to debriefing and reporting. The leadership team will steer the overall vision for the marketing department, where you will carry out that vision on a granular level. You will therefore supervise the team of marketers, vendors, and support staff involved. Your work will be to support the growth and execution of the marketing strategy. It is your responsibility to ensure that various teams are working in sync.

What you will do:

  • Manage and coordinate marketing programmes that advance our specific marketing strategy and goals
  • Design, plan, and coordinate marketing campaigns and projects. Ascertain which markets present the largest opportunity, and design appropriate campaigns
  • Support the marketing initiatives and support team members in their growth and development
  • Oversee a group of marketing projects simultaneously and tracks the success of that selection of projects against company goals
  • Marketing project life cycle - ensure rigor in project initiation, briefing and delivery to ensure best-in-class outputs and outcomes
  • Assign project tasks internally within the marketing team and externally with vendors
  • Build and maintain external vendor relationships
  • Working collaboratively with other teams across the organization to coordinate activities
  • Set deadlines for team members, and determine the project’s budget and resource allocation requirements — all while making adjustments over the course of the project’s duration
  • Manage communication with stakeholders, both internally and externally, ensuring the marketing team has the information needed to get the project across the finish line
  • Develop a strategy for Cycle Time Analysis to better understand the time needed to successfully launch a project
  • Keep the senior leadership informed through ongoing reporting to help meet business needs
  • Ensure all content is in line with our communications strategy working closely with leadership team for review and final sign off
  • Deadlines forecasting and management as you often will be in charge of many deadlines across several projects simultaneously

Must have skills / experience:

  • Good understanding of multichannel marketing and how users interact with each channel
  • Experience in using data, research and customer feedback to improve a campaign to inform future activities
  • Experience in planning and developing digital marketing campaigns from start to finish, working with a number of teams to ensure a marketing campaign is ready for project launch
  • Adept in the set-up and use of core work management systems to track projects, programmes and portfolios
  • Strong leadership skills. For a marketing project to succeed, you need to be able to supervise the team members, encouraging and directing them, as well as anticipating their strengths and weaknesses
  • Excellent communication skills with team members, executive leadership, external stakeholders, vendors, and freelancers
  • Experience working on fast-paced complex product delivery initiatives
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to influence decision-making
  • Able to leverage marketing analytics and prioritize resources to maximize the outcome for the organization
  • Hold specific expertise in marketing programme management to be able to manage a website redesign, plan a viral social media campaign, or launch a product
  • Experience in high-pressure situations, where you will be called upon to make informed decisions on a tight timeline
  • Experience in resource allocation. Allocation of both human and budgetary resources, is critical for added agility and flexibility as obstacles or bottlenecks arise
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana to set deadlines, track resources, and ensure team member accountability
  • Ability to manage and delegate tasks effectively to ensure deadlines are met
  • Excellent project timeline planning and forecasting multiple complex projects with time- and resource-dependent deadlines

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with blockchain, web 3.0 or d-commerce
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana
