Proof of work

The team

Breakout is a crypto-native prop trading platform backed by Kraken. Founded in 2023 by industry veterans, we combine deep liquidity, cutting-edge technology, and world-class risk management to create an unparalleled trading experience. With a commitment to transparency and innovation, we’re empowering traders to succeed in competitive markets while driving the future of trading. Recently acquired by Kraken, this acquisition gains the benefit of Kraken’s global infrastructure and trusted brand.

We’re looking for a high-output, visionary CMO to lead our marketing team and take full ownership of strategy, growth, performance, brand, and culture. This is not a brand maintenance role. It’s a chance to scale a category-defining product with breakthrough marketing, relentless execution, and a strong team behind you. This role will be critical to driving targeted global growth over the next three years as Breakout expands its reach.

The opportunity

  • Define and execute a full-stack marketing strategy across performance, content, brand, events, and community

  • Lead and manage a growing in-house marketing team with clear goals, KPIs, and accountability

  • Launch high-impact initiatives - from viral campaigns and influencer partnerships to affiliate and offline activations

  • Build scalable growth systems to support evaluation funnel, funded accounts, and global trader expansion

  • Operate as a core member of the leadership team, collaborating cross-functionally across Breakout and Kraken

Skills you should HODL

  • 10+ years leading marketing orgs in fintech, trading, ecomm, crypto, or rapid growth companies

  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams, move fast, and own results in a high-growth, startup-like environment

  • Strong instincts for data-informed, creative risk-taking and content that connects - with a record of bold bets and big wins

  • Experience across paid acquisition, performance funnels, affiliate, and brand strategy

Nice to haves

  • knowledge of crypto, proprietary trading, or trader-driven platforms
